Oklahoma Custom Knife Show

The show date has been set and will be a ONE DAY AFFAIR.  This to help in reducing expenses for the makers and suppliers.

 Oklahoma Custom Knife Show for 2010

Acquired additional expanded space

August 28,2010  10:00  AM till 7:00 PM  Tulsa Civic Center - Conference Hall (20,000 square feet for tables with two large rooms for seminars and photography)

The host lodging will be at the Double Tree Hotel, 616 W. 7th St, Tulsa, OK. 74127.  (Google Map) , phone no. 918-587-8000.  We have not reserved a block of rooms yet for this event.  An air bridge connects the Hotel to Civic Center Conference Hall.

Demonstrations planned:

 We may be able to get Jerry Fisk, who developed the ABS cutting competitions, back again to MC another cutting demonstration with World Championship competitors.  Linn Rhea, a past World Champion, may also be back and can show some of the cuts that made him a champion.  This is a "Must See" seminar for those interested in understanding a knife's cutting  performance.  So far, it is still pending.

Linda Ferguson will demonstrate her award winning techniques in scrimshaw.  She will be demonstrating on a works in progress and have several of her miniatures for vewing.

7:00 AM Conference Hall opens to table holders for set up

9:00 AM All knives for awards are to be in judging room (Photography room) for judging.

10:00 AM Show opens to the public

10:30 AM (Approximate time) Presentation of awards to winners of knife judging

11:00 AM Cutting Demo in Seminar Room by Jerry Fisk with Linn Rhea and Brion Tomberlin.

12:00 Noon Burr King demo by Tom McGinnis with power point presentation

2:00 PM Scrimshaw of ivory by Linda Ferguson on works in progress

6:00 PM Drawing for raffle knife, attendees knife, and buyers knife.

A list of the committed table holders are at the bottom of the page.   All of our club members are working hard to make this show one of the best in this part of the country.  For additional information call Ray Kirk at 918-456-1519 or email at kniffers@theknifegroup.com .  Eight foot tables (no table cloth) with two chairs will cost $100.00. Custom or hand made knives only allowed at this event.

This years raffle knife has been donated by Ray Kirk and is a full tang firestorm damascus integral stag handles.   

Chuck Ward will be the official photographer for this show.  He will be set up to professionally photograph the winners of the knife awards and other makers knives.  Chuck has had his photos in all the major knife magazines in the country.   A major part of his service is to forward a photograph of your knife to them for publication.
