Born and raised i n OK. Joined the Navy out of High School and learned enough about computers
to get me in trouble and a job after I got out. I'm the IT/Office Manager
for the largest, independent Jan/San supply house in the state. My
step-father had wanted to go to Jantz for a couple of years so in August of
this year I took a day and went with him. We spent about an hour in there
looking around and asking questions. I ended up with three knife kits and
some tools and was hooked by the end of the day when I had read How to Make
Knives by Bob Loveless and gotten started on my first kit. As of tonight I
have rough ground my first blade from stock and am loving every minute of
this 'hobby' I've gotten myself in. I am an active member of the knife
network forums. I just do stock removal for now, but would love to learn how
to forge. I am really excited about joining the knife group and hope to meet
some good teachers and better friends.
